I am a Canadian-born theatre-maker, dramaturg and writer. While completing my MA in Dramaturgy and European Theatre at the University of Kent, I worked as Mobilizer for an international Creative-Europe funded project called Playing Identities, Performing Heritage. Wanting to expand my knowledge of international theatre-making and dramaturgy I have worked on projects in the capacities of dramaturg, project manager, director and assistant with Theatre of Europe, Empty Deck Theatre Company and Tinderbox among others.
In parallel, and in order to explore methods and techniques of creating inclusivity and community within workshops, I have worked with the Kent Refugee Action Network and Tobacco Factory Theatres’ Young Theatre-Making Program.
I am also the co-Artistic Director of Belgian-Canadian theatre company, Live Others. We work specifically with non-professional performers to curate untold and unexpected narratives on a professional live stage. Our goal is to develop a methodology that best facilitates and provides platform for muted voices.
I have written on dramaturgy and inter-cultural theatre for The Theatre Times, Intermission Magazine, Toronto Star and Winnipeg Free Press. I am the author of Henrietta, an illustrated children’s book with Scribbles & Rhymes Publishing.
