Young Creatives (16-25):

Pegasus Performance Lab: Young Artist’s Residency with the Conker Group Tuesday 30th May – Saturday 3rd June 2017 (May Half Term)

A Free Training & Development opportunity for all creative and curious young people aged 16-25.

No experience necessary.

PPL Design 2 Pegasus Performance Lab is a unique opportunity to work with a professional company to create an exciting and innovative new show which will be shared for the first time at Pegasus Theatre on Saturday 3rd June.

During the residency, you will be invited to help create & perform in a show alongside theatre-makers from The Conker Group, a professional company. The show you’ll be making is entitled ‘A Very British Bird Show’. It will use migrating birds to explore what it means to make extraordinary journeys in search of a home through the use of song, movement and audio recordings. You do not need to be able to sing, dance, know about migrating birds or have done any acting before, The Conker Group welcome anyone who is interested in trying something different, developing creative confidence and collaborating as a team.

The residency will culminate in a professionally staged work-in-progress performance at Pegasus Theatre.

The residency offer includes:

  • No cost to attend, with help towards travel costs / expenses
  • A chance to gain insight into a professional working theatre environment
  • Creating & performing in a staged production
  • The opportunity to build creative confidence, to network & to learn new skills
  • The residency will be delivered over five sessions on Tuesday 30th May – Friday 2nd June from 10:30am – 2pm & Saturday 3rd June 11am – 7pm (including work-in-progress performance). You must be available to commit to all 5 sessions in order to take part.
