Pegasus Musical Young Company Director/Choreographer and Musical Director
In September 2025, Pegasus is launching its new Pegasus Young Musical Company for 11–18-year-olds (Years 7-13). In its first year, over two terms of weekly sessions – plus some additional Saturdays – PMYC will build towards a company showcase in late March 2026 of excerpts from musical theatre shows.
Pegasus is looking for a freelance musical director and a freelance director/choreographer to join our creative learning team and co-lead the new Pegasus Musical Young Company from September 2025. Practitioners will be able to demonstrate that they have significant experience in their respective fields, and that they have a track record of working professionally with young people on high quality projects. Expressions of interest from leaders with relevant experience as musical directors and director/choreographers will be considered.

Duty Manager
Job Purpose
The Duty Manager is the key position reporting to the Front of House Manager, responsible across all elements of our front of house operation for the welcome, service, and safety of all people using, visiting and working at Pegasus. The FOH team work on a shift system over seven days of operation to cover: course administration, course support, online ticket sales, management of live and online show activity and day to day building operation.
Employment Terms (subject to contract)
Remuneration : £25,331 pa full time: pro rata part time £10,954 pa
Hours 37 hours per week (full time) 16 hours per week (part time)

Community Engagement Manager
Job Purpose
The Community Engagement Manager is a key position within the organisation, reporting to the Creative Learning Director. The role is responsible for building Pegasus’ relationships within the diverse range of communities we serve, with the aim of increasing engagement, relevance, and profile of the organisation within the community. The role supports the development, implementation and monitoring of Pegasus’s audience development and programming strategies to achieve our business objectives and artistic ambitions.
Key Objectives
- Increase engagement across our artistic programme by building and sustaining meaningful relationships with key individuals and organisations within the diverse local communities we serve.
- Increase the frequency and levels of attendance by young people who experience barriers or circumstance that may otherwise preclude their engagement with our creative programme.
- To serve as the accessibility and inclusion lead for Pegasus, leading on the organisations’ strategy and action plan to improve accessibility, inclusion, and representation for all young people particularly those from underrepresented groups and communities
- Open creative consultation within our diverse communities to identify needs we can address through our programming and project development.
- Raise the profile of the organisation and maximise media opportunities.
Employment Terms
Remuneration £26,000-28,500 pa pro rata (starting salary dependant on experience)
Hours Part time: 30 hours per week (4 days). It is anticipated that the post holder will work up to 12 Saturdays per annum.
