Join us for a full day of free activities to celebrate Oxford’s Christmas Light Festival 2024.

Exhibition

CafΓ© | 9.30am-6pm

Visit the CafΓ© on the 1st Floor throughout the day for a multimedia exhibition sharing the work of the many groups Pegasus works with.

Listen to sound art and poems created by local school groups, Pegasus’ Looking Forward group and members of Refugee Resource’s Women’s Group, and enjoy artwork created by participants from Refugee Resource.

The Glow Gallery

Create your own Glow Exhibition using lights and lasers

Theatre | 10-4pm

Step into our Theatre and take part in The Glow Gallery, in partnership with IF Oxford. Use lasers, LEDs and phosphorescent boards to capture the essence of science and light in a playful and creative spectroscopic exhibition created by you! Learn about colour and energy, play with shadow and time and explore the science of light.

No need to book, just turn up on the day.

Suitable for ages 7+

 

Find the Light – The Adventures of Natty and Flick!

CafΓ© | 10-10.30am, 11-11.30am, 12-12.30pm, 2-2.30pm, 3-3.30pm

The North Star has fallen from the sky & shattered into pieces, and we need your help to save the night sky before the stars’ light fades to darkness, completely.Join intrepid, but sometimes blundering, explorers Flick & Natty on an epic quest to save the night sky.Don your gloves & and hat as we battle icy blizzards, ferocious Polar Bears, collapsing icebergs, and the deadliest of them all… the angry Penguin! Journey with your guides Flick & Natty on this walking tour for all the family as part of Pegasus’ Light Festival.

Shadow Magic with Wild Boor Ideas

Studio | 10-11am, 11.30am-12.30pm, 1.30-2.30pm, 3-4pm

Join Emma Boor from Wild Boor Ideas and make your own ‘naughty’ shadow puppet elf and have a go at performing with your cheeky creation.

You will also get to hear a sneak preview of our story for this year’s Pegasus Christmas show “The Elves and the Shoemaker” and meet some of the characters from the show, in shadow puppet form! Parent/carers are asked to remain with their child/children during the workshop.

Queer Voices

Theatre | 7.30-10pm

T(ART) Productions presents Queer Voices, an open mic night of Queer poetry, music, and spoken word. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or an enthusiastic amateur, this is your time to shine! It doesn’t matter if you want to get up to speak, sing, and play, or if you’d rather just listen, cheer, and make some wonderful new friends; Queer Voices is the place for you.
