Pegasus is looking for a friendly, organised and proactive Duty Manager to join our Front of House team. Reporting to the Front of House Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering an outstanding visitor experience, ensuring the welcome, service and safety of everyone using, visiting and working at Pegasus.
Working across a seven-day shift rota, you’ll support all aspects of our front of house operation, including ticket sales, course administration, performances, creative learning activities and the day-to-day running of our building. This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a busy environment and is passionate about the arts.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a warm, professional welcome and exceptional customer service to audiences, participants and visitors.
- Sell tickets and process bookings using the Ticketsolve box office system, handling payments and customer enquiries accurately.
- Open and close the building and act as Duty Manager, ensuring the venue is safe, secure and operating smoothly.
- House manage performances, events, workshops and creative learning activities, liaising with artists, facilitators, technicians and staff.
- Serve refreshments and snacks, maintaining high standards of food hygiene, stock control and cash handling.
- Maintain accurate audience, participant and box office records, ensuring compliance with GDPR and data protection requirements.
- Support the safeguarding and wellbeing of children and young people, reporting concerns in line with Pegasus safeguarding procedures.
- Promote Pegasus’s programme and activities, keeping front of house displays and visitor information up to date.
- Gather audience feedback and contribute ideas to improve the visitor experience and support audience development.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, particularly the Marketing Officer and fellow Duty Managers.
- Attend team meetings, one-to-one meetings and training to support your professional development.
- Follow Pegasus policies and procedures, including Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Health & Safety and Safeguarding.
