Learn creatively in a working theatre

The Pegasus partnership with Bristol School of Acting and The River Learning Trust offers young people who want a career in the industry hands-on training in the heart of a working theatre.

About the Diploma

The Professional Acting Diploma is an RSL Level 3 Extended Diploma worth up to 168 UCAS points (equivalent to 3 A* A Levels). On successful completion of the course you will be awarded an overall Distinction*, Distinction, Merit or Pass grade.

The programme is fully funded for students who are aged 16-18 at the start of the course. Students will be eligible to apply for a discretionary bursary. Students will be expected to contribute to the cost of trips.

With a 133 seat auditorium, dance studio with sprung floor, a workshop for designing and building sets, props and costumes, music tech studio, dressing rooms, green room and public café, Pegasus Theatre is one of the best places in the city to study professional acting.

Students at Pegasus receive fantastic results, with all of our 2nd year 2022 class achieving merit or distinction grades, and 72% of the year achieving distinction*. 71% of graduating students have accepted places at university or drama school.
