Support us

Pegasus is a registered charity and your support helps us to offer outstanding creative experiences for young people from all backgrounds, nurture exciting new talent and remain inclusive, accessible and affordable for all.

“Pegasus Theatre is a vital organ for the people of East Oxford, feeding new blood into the system by giving young people space, opportunity, shelter, nurture and growth. To breathe new life into our post-Covid future, it is not just money we need.  It is hope. Pegasus, and all small theatres, arts centres, youth clubs and more, all over the country, give wings to hope:  a voice to speak of hope; skills, confidence, language and ability to make hope.  We must now back these places, take care of them, build them up again. For our children’s sake. For all our futures.”

Simon McBurney, Artistic Director, Complicité & Pegasus Patron

Make a difference

Creativity is vital for thriving, resilient communities and every year Pegasus provides the inspiration and support for hundreds of young people on their own creative journeys.

As a registered charity, the support of our audiences and friends is crucial to our success, now more than ever as we face another challenging year.  If you’ve enjoyed shows, seen your child thrive with us, watched our recent online content or remember your own days at Pegasus, then please consider making a donation today if you are in a position to do so.

Thank you!

Pegasus Friends

We are delighted to be launching Pegasus Friends.  Will you join us?

The support of our Friends will help us ensure that we are here for our participants and audiences (in person or online) no matter what the future holds, offering excellent creative experiences and in-depth support for children and young people from diverse backgrounds across Oxfordshire.

Pegasus Friends runs on a pay what you can basis.  Simply let us know how much you’d like to donate each month/quarter/year (minimum £5/month) and we’ll send you details of how to join.  You’ll be able to Gift Aid your donations so Pegasus can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give.  Each year (once it is safe to do so) we’ll invite you to a Friends event at Pegasus so you can see for yourselves the difference you are making.

London Marathon 2020

It’s been a long journey for Pegasus’ London Marathon runner David Shorten.  After months of training, on Sunday 26 April, the day the London Marathon should have taken place, he completed a socially-distanced marathon in 134 laps of his garden…an incredible achievement!  You can read David’s report of his run here.

David has now deferred his place to October 2021 and hopes that he will finally get to run the London Marathon in London!

David’s fundraising page can be found here.

Run, jump, bike for Pegasus

If you’ve got completing a challenge on your post-lockdown to do list, why not consider joining an event and raising money to support Pegasus?  There are plenty of challenge events currently open for registration in 2021.  Whether it’s running a 10K, hiking the Jurassic Coast, taking on the Blenheim Palace Triathlon or covering the distance of Land’s End to John O’Groats in a virtual challenge, we can give you lots of support and fundraising help.
