“The ‘Acting Out Project’ has had a significant and positive impact on participating children. It empowered them to find their voice, increased their confidence to contribute in wider group conversations. Importantly, it also gave them the courage to approach adults if they felt they had been treated unfairly — something that had not previously occurred.
The provision of free transport proved invaluable for families where parents work or do not have access to a car. This ensured consistent weekly attendance, allowing children to fully engage with the program. As a result, they formed strong friendships, enjoyed new experiences and developed a real sense of inclusion and belonging.
Overall, the program has clearly demonstrated its ability to build children’s confidence, improve participation and foster a greater sense of inclusion. This initiative transforms children’s lives by breaking down barriers, fostering friendships and nurturing lasting self-belief.”
