11-16 Pegasus Devising Company
In 2027, Pegasus is piloting a new and exciting Young Company for 11–16-year-olds (Year 7 to Year 11). Pegasus Devising Company will not work with pre-existing scripts. This ensemble will explore techniques – such as mask, puppetry, physical theatre, and clowning – and use these to create an original, devised piece of work. This is a theatre opportunity for young people that want to collaborate with others to tell their own, unique stories whilst developing theatre skills.
Initially, we will be running Pegasus Devising Company as a termly commitment: Company members will meet weekly and share short pieces of work at the end of the spring and summer terms in 2027. Then, in September 2027, a two-term Young Company will launch, with ensemble members working towards an original production in March 2028: The new work will be created by the young people alongside theatre professionals in the rehearsal room.
All levels of skill and experience are welcome. Sessions take place in the Pullman Theatre at Pegasus.
Term dates 2027
Spring: Monday 4 January to Monday 22nd March 2027. 4.30-6pm.
No session on 15 February during half term.
A sharing of work will take place in the final session of term, Monday 22nd March, for family and friends.
Price per term: £150 full price/£112.50 concs
If the fees are a stretch too far you can pay in instalments before the beginning of your first term.
