Deep in the heart of a forest stood the Littlest Fir Tree.
He longed to stretch as tall as the mighty trees surrounding him, but he could never quite reach their heights.
Lonely and overlooked, the birds would not nest in his branches, the hedgehogs would not burrow in his roots and the Hares could clear the top of his branches. He dreamed of one day being chosen; of standing proud as a beloved Christmas tree.
One frosty winter’s eve, a tiny spider spins a shimmering web across his branches. Moved by the magical sight, a villager carries him home, where the Littlest Fir Tree’s Christmas wish comes true.
Join WhatNot Theatre this festive season for a heart-warming retelling of Hans Christian Andersen’s, The Fir Tree. With delightful puppetry, original music, and audience interaction; perfect for children aged 2-7 and their families.
